• To lead the branch accounting activity to ensure that all insurance premia is collected in line with Policy and the agreed terms of business.
• To work with Regional Marketing to plan & manage effective marketing and sales operations and ensure profitable growth and the delivery of quality customer management and service.
• Promote and strengthen relationships with valued customers and major supporting brokers.
• Assist Country Management in the preparation of business projections and action plans as required.
• Prepare a monthly report on progress and participate in the monthly branch meetings covering key issues laid down by the Regional Office
• Manage renewal and new business negotiations, quotations, presentations and documentation for all allocated existing major customers and potential customers.
• Liaise with Underwriters and ensure all enquiries are accompanied by a full and complete presentation of underwriting information, competitor’s rates/terms/conditions and any other commercial/political information for consideration of Underwriters and/or Reinsurers
• Sound knowledge of both commercial and technical functions in order to be able to ensure the generation of profitable insurance business.
• Broad knowledge of all aspects of branch management such as accounts, HR, marketing as well as commercial activity.
• Broad knowledge of HR practice in order to provide leadership to a branch.
